I guess it is worth pointing out that both of these guys had interns build something last summer. Joel had his guys build copilot.com while Paul had his guys build reddit.com. Joel's thing is totally a good idea, but not useful to me because I have converted everyone in my family to using Macs, and the only people I need to deal with with PC's can all make remote desktop work fine for free. Paul's reddit.com thing is actually very similiar to an idea I had on my own, so I'm finding that I'm actually using it - that's cool.
